It’s our drink of choice and its legacy has been passed down to us, Robert and Genevieve Mann. We’re husband and wife, heads and hearts of Corymbia, and part of one of the oldest and most influential families in the winemaking industry.
The Whicher Ridge Wines wine sensory garden is a totally unique winery experience, being the only one of it’s kind in Australia, and is the centre piece of their winery experiences. The garden was designed and planted in 2014, by Cathy and Neil, and is designed in an infinity (figure 8) pattern, with sections devoted to 7 different grape varieties. The Garden is enclosed by tall hedges and covers an area of just over 1000 square metres.
Cathy’s winemaking philosophy is to keep it simple, using hands-on, traditional artisanal winemaking techniques and minimal additions in the winery. She utilises extended yeast lees contact with our white wines and the additives that are used, are all natural. Their red wines are fermented in open topped fermenters, with a portion also fermenting in barrels to add extra complexity. We utilise a traditional basket press for pressing off our red ferments once they are dry.
“Every now and then a new producer will pop up with wines that are really good, and ultimately vie for inclusion in the list of ten of the best new wineries in the next Companion….this is one new winery that will quite certainly be in the top 10, for its ranks among the best I can remember.”
– James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion.

South by South West Wines is a contemporary, meandering négociant working in an age-old profession. Their fruit is sourced independently from a loyal network of pioneering growers, and the results are small batches of unique and ever-changing styles, varietals, and blends that highlight the charm of the south west region.
Since establishing Blind Corner in 2005, Ben Gould has made his wines on a strictly ‘needs must’ basis. As a result, the wines of Blind Corner are exceptionally interesting, and could easily fit under the loosely defined ‘natural wine’ umbrella. The wines of Blind Corner could be misinterpreted as highly experimental, and inventive, when in actual fact, they not only speak of place but are true to its origins.
